Edit: It looks like things are on hold for me at the moment. The good news is that I'll be working as a PCA again for a while. The bad news is that Christian's father passed away suddenly and he and the rest of his family are now grieving over the loss, as am I. I ask that you all pray for them in getting through this difficult time so that they can feel a sense of closure and peace. I'm really upset for them right now; I feel helpless because I don't want him to be sad but life really threw him a curve ball and it's just not fair. I'm trying to stay strong for him, so I can help him through this. I just want him to be happy again. I'd do anything to see him smile. So, again, I ask you to please pray for him and the rest of his family; I believe it would help them a lot.
I want to apologize for not being very present on dA lately, for not replying to all your lovely comments and such. I've been hella stressed and hella busy. I haven't really produced anything for dA in a while and I guess it's because I'm still busy with NaNoWriMo (yes, I am still going with it).
I have 35,175 words on my draft so far, but I think to resolve my Icarus novel, it'll be more than the target word count of 50,000 words. I'm not yet to my second "Conflict/Outcome/Low Point" but the suspense in the novel in escalating, especially since the main character is now caught between a rock and a hard place.
So anyway, I want to let you know that I'm not trying to ignore any of you, that I have indeed read your messages to me, and I'll try to get back to you once NaNoWriMo is over...
But even after this month I might be busy, as the woman I used to work with as her PCA has had surgery on her knee (which went well, she said) and she'll probably need me the whole month of December, barring Christmas and those holidays where her family will be home during the day.
So yeah, I anticipate a busy season.
I hope you understand now what's going on and can forgive my lack of presence. I still think of you and pray for you all.

At a Literary Crossroads
Dear friends of DeviantART: I could use a little help regarding my story. I thought that, at first, I wanted a love story but now I’m thinking of an action/adventure story. My ideas for the action/adventure story could use the love story as the sub-plot, but it turns into a totally different story than what I’d planned. I want it to resemble the original, with which I was happy, but now… I’m stuck at a crossroads regarding the story about whether or not I should tell the story as a love story with an action/adventure sub-plot, or an action/adventure story with a romance sub-plot. Here are my two ideas that I need help with. Would you rather read this story? Story A “While stranded on a remote island hiding a legendary treasure, a young docent must help its tribe of natives ward off destructive tourists, or risk losing the love of their beautiful queen.” Or this story? In Support of LGBTQ+ Pride!
I may not be of that group, but I sure as Hell support the people who are! So, just know that I fully accept that others have their preferences, and that we are all human. We all deserve the right to love those that love us back and accept us for who we are, and there's no shame in being a part of those who are not strictly heterosexual and cis-gendered. The only people who should be ashamed are the bigots that pick and choose verses from the Old Testament to support their views. These people are the heartless, stubborn, jerks who refuse to see beyond their limited world. They try to color inside the lines and refuse to think outside of the canvas. There is no room for haters in my world, and so I offer myself as a safe person to protect and support those who are targets to such haters just because of a minor thing like sexuality.
