Slide 19: December 8, 1980 – Lennon is shot and killed outside the Dakota apartments in New York.
Slide 20: At 11:07 pm, he is officially pronounced dead.
Slide 21: Today, October 9, 2011, is John Lennon’s birthday. So let’s all remember his life and legacy. His hit singles, his relationships, his flaws, and his redeeming qualities should all be taken into account. He was not a saint, far from it in fact. But nevertheless, he is a hero to believe in because he was human. Being human means having flaws and fears, smiles and tears, and knowing about the things you do and don’t do. John Lennon was a great man in that sense. He was human. He was a hero.
